He attended Brigham Young University in Provo, UT where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology. He attended dental school at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH where he graduated with honors and earned his DMD. Following dental school, he was accepted into a pediatric specialty residency at Case Western where he was trained at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital and was chief resident. Having the privilege to train at one of the top 5 pediatric hospitals in the country gave him the opportunity to treat many children with special needs and extensive medical complications.
Dr. Segura and Dr. Mandelaris are both certified in basic life support as well as Pediatric Advanced Life Support. They are members of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Pediatric Dentists. They continue to educate themselves with courses held locally as well as around the country. Their love for children and their desire to help their patients go from being fearful of the dentist to not wanting to leave is what drove them to this profession. Their practice philosophy is to give kids the best and most comfortable dental experience while having fun and learning at the same time. You might also catch them singing a song or dancing on any given day. They also feel the best way to give back is to be active in the community so don’t be surprised to see them at many local events.×
